GTA 6: More Interiors and a City That Reacts to Your Actions
Homes, shops, pedestrians and street scenes: Edge's feature shows why Leonida's density could matter more than its size.

A World That Goes Beyond the Facades
Leonida's size draws everyone's attention, but Rockstar is also preparing another change: more spaces that players can visit. In Edge, the game's developers explain that the number of explorable interiors has grown dramatically compared with previous entries. However, there's no basis for claiming that every apartment, shop or door in Vice City will be accessible. The promise is of a noticeably less decorative city, not a simulation where every building is open.
Pedestrians Are No Longer Just Extras
During the 90-minute demonstration, Jason encounters a man walking his dog. A prolonged stare is enough to prompt a verbal reaction, while the dog briefly chases the character. Elsewhere, an arrest is already underway without Jason having started it. These small scenes show the importance Rockstar places on emergent situations: improvised stories that arise from several systems interacting.
Reactions That Depend on Context
A passerby's attitude toward an armed player is also more nuanced. Holding a weapon openly doesn't provoke exactly the same reaction as carrying one on your back. Some people move away, others object, and the police don't automatically respond to every suspicious behavior. Here, the sense of credibility comes from witnesses, circumstances and the information being shared.
Why It Matters to Players
These may be the details players notice most after dozens of hours: a shop offering an unexpected interaction, a confrontation avoided or a street event disrupting a journey. The exact number of interiors and unique NPCs remains to be confirmed. At launch, our wiki will document the places that can actually be visited rather than turning backdrops glimpsed in a trailer into fake entries.
