GTA 6 Online: Will Multiplayer Be Available at Launch?

Official communications about the launch of GTA 6 focus on Jason and Lucia’s adventure. Rockstar explicitly describes the game as a single-player experience in its pre-order announcement, and the French PlayStation page also presents it as a single-player experience. These statements establish the scope of what is currently being marketed; on their own, they do not give a date for a future GTA Online.

GTA+ proves nothing about GTA 6 Online

Digital pre-orders may include one month of GTA+, which sometimes causes confusion. GTA+ is an existing Rockstar subscription, and its benefits relate in particular to services associated with GTA Online. Receiving the subscription as a bonus does not imply that a GTA 6 multiplayer mode will launch on November 19, or that players will get early access to a service that has not been detailed.

What answers are we waiting for?

Three important questions remain open: Will a potential online mode launch separately, what community features will it offer, and how will players progress in it? Alleged launch dates, automatic character transfers, or lists of multiplayer activities should remain described as rumors unless Rockstar confirms them.
