A Difficult Past in the Leonida Keys
Jason grew up around con artists and criminals. He joined the army to get away from a troubled adolescence, before returning to illegal activities. At the start of the story presented by Rockstar, he lives in the Keys, where he runs errands for local drug traffickers. His goal, though, seems simple: break out of this routine and lead a less dangerous life.
Brian Heder and Side Deals
Brian Heder, a smuggler based in the Keys, lets Jason live in one of his properties rent-free. In return, Jason takes part in intimidation operations and various jobs connected to Brian’s business. This dependence partly explains why Jason remains close to the criminal underworld even though he wants to change his life.
His Relationship with Lucia
Rockstar presents Jason and Lucia as a duo forced to rely on each other after a heist gone wrong draws them into a conspiracy spanning Leonida. Jason hopes their relationship can be the starting point for a different life. The outcome of their story and the choices players will be able to make are yet to be revealed in the game.
